A Human Project

My human asked me if I could post an experiment to see how it well it worked. We worked out a deal involving extra outside time and a bonus kitty treat, so I graciously obliged.

She wants my creative kitty friends to finish the following story. Feel free to post one or two paragraphs in the comments section and leave the remainder of the story for other kitties to finish. The 6th person to comment is responsible for writing the concluding paragraph. Thanks for your help!

Here's the story starter:

A curious little kitty slowly opened her bright green eyes. She had just awoken from a glorious nap on her kitty condo next to the window. Hungry, she jumped down from her perch to nibble some food, but instead, she stood in shock at what she saw...

There, where there should only be ONE food bowl, she saw TWO! "What does this mean?", she asked herself. "Do I now get two different foods?". She sniffed both bowls only to find that they each contained the same food. Glancing over her shoulder, she saw that there was now also two water bowls. Not quite sure what was going on, the little kitty was quite certain that she wasn't going to like it.

Hey Nimbus - this is a fun 'periment - thanks!

Slowly she slinked into the next room where her humans were sitting. And she got a great shock when she saw her forever humans holding a small, white kittie, half her own size.

"Is it for me? she wondered, her mind racing as fast as her heart was thumping. "It's so tiny, yet just the perfect snack size!"

Just then she heard the tiny white thing let out a pitiful mew. It even sounded delicious, yet she felt something odd. Horrifying, yet maternal at the same time...

Tentatively she approached her humans to take a closer look. She sniffed carefully...she touched it softly with her paw. Then something stirred inside her. "Why, I know what this is" she thought.

"This stirring inside''s...HUNGER PANGS!" She leaned in to sniff the little white kittie and that's when it happened. The little kittie mewed at her (at least that's what it sounded like to the humans). The curious little kitty knew exactly what the little white one said: "I'm HUNGRY!" The curious little kitty quickly pushed her way past her human's hands and picked up the little kittie by the neck.

She quickly trotted off to the kitchen and set the little one down on the floor. The little white kittie looked up at the curious kitty and purred loudly. She looked down at her new housemate and said, "welcome home Little One, welcome home". With that, she began to eat. The little kittie's belly warmed with happiness as she nudged her food bowl over to her new sister. As she began to crunch her tasty kibbles, you could hear a steady purring...only, it was now twice as loud as usual.

The End.
